User Workshop at Nel Hydrogen’s facilities in Porsgrunn, Norway

Last week, the DECODE project held a successful User Workshop on 16 April 2026 at Nel Hydrogen’s facilities in Porsgrunn, Norway.

The workshop brought together all project partners, including contributors to WP1 and WP2, for a full day of presentations, collaborative discussions, and hands-on sessions. Colleagues from Nel Hydrogen, Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), and DTU met on site for an interactive demonstration of the DECODE Foundry agent, followed by in-depth discussions on key use cases that will showcase the platform’s capabilities in the coming months.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about Nel’s history and to visit the manufacturing line, offering valuable insights into industrial-scale hydrogen technologies.

Events like this highlight the strength of collaboration at the core of DECODE, a Horizon Europe project aiming to build one of the most advanced pan-European clusters of modelling and characterization labs for hydrogen technologies, digitally connecting labs to accelerate the development and integration of clean energy materials and technologies.

Thank you to Nel Hydrogen for hosting and to all partners for the productive exchanges.
